The 2026 Global Money Week Launch

The 2026 Global Money Week was officially launched this morning at the CBE Ezulwini Complex. The event brought together key leaders to discuss the importance of financial literacy and inclusion for the youth of Eswatini.

During the launch, Honorable Minister of Finance encouraged young people to embrace the learning process, noting that failure serves as a stepping stone toward gaining greater financial intelligence. This sentiment was echoed by the Governor, who advised that financial literacy must begin at an early age to ensure sustainable growth.

Addressing the necessary mindset shift for saving and investing, FSRA CEO, Mr. Ncamiso T. Ntshalintshali, emphasized that one does not need a large sum of money to begin. He noted that the foundation of financial success lies in setting challenging targets and maintaining strict discipline, regardless of the amount being saved or invested.

A significant focus of this year's initiative is inclusion. The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office highlighted the need for financial literacy materials and infrastructure, such as Braille-enabled ATMs, to be accessible to children with special needs. To further this commitment, a dedicated day has been set aside for children living with disabilities during the upcoming Global Money Week school exhibitions next week.

Under the theme “Smart Money Talks,” the 2026 campaign serves as a reminder that financial empowerment is built through informed conversations and consistent choices.

Kancane kancane, the youth of Eswatini can successfully reach their long-term financial goals.
